Coaching helps you to deepen your insights and create effective strategies that enable you to: better navigate complex situations; change/adapt ingrained patterns that are holding you back; improve relationships; and develop new skills or mindsets that position you for your next professional opportunity.
My work with coaching clients is focused on choosing the right path forward for them, creating realistic tasks and achievable goals that will help them move further along it, and, perhaps mostly importantly, learning to recognize and avoid the many – often alluring – distractions that will take them off the path they’ve chosen.
My clients are often in senior leadership (professional or volunteer) or management roles. They are usually individuals who not only want to do the best they can within their current roles but are also looking to take that next step forward in their careers and/or leadership abilities. They often feel “stuck” in some aspect of their lives. I help them get past the “stuck” and moving towards meaning, passion and purpose in all aspects of their lives.

The most valuable asset in any organization is its people. An organization committed to success must be committed to engaging and developing its people.I work with clients to strengthen this commitment by assessing the organization’s current efforts in these areas: staff engagement; alignment to mission/vision/goals; staff culture; and professional development. From this, we work together to create a roadmap that addresses current needs or challenges and take advantage of untapped opportunities.
An essential feature of my work is helping clients navigate change – change as a result of our work together or change as a result of new leadership, new team formations, new priorities or new strategies. Change, even when viewed as necessary and positive, can have unintended, and often negative consequences if not managed correctly. I help clients build their internal capacity to recognize when it is important to consider the impacts of change; determine what these might be; and to create strategies to manage the change process towards the best possible outcomes.
Organizations engaged with me further benefit from my “coaching mindset”. Understanding that the behavioural changes required to grow leadership capacity and improve team/individual functioning are not easily achieved is central to my approach. I work with clients to establish on-going coaching that supports individuals in their growth and development journeys. Whether that coaching is provided by me or whether I work with leaders to ensure they are well equipped to coach their staff, we work together in setting the stage to achieve enduring transformational change.
Facilitation & Training

From one-off meetings to single and multi-day retreats, I help clients understand how to create focused meetings that achieve their objectives (ie. creating/aligning vision; generating solutions to large, organizational-wide challenges; developing goals/roadmaps for the future; building leadership capacity; check-in/update meetings; etc).
A unique feature of my facilitation work is that I give our clients an “under the hood” view to my process and freely share my tools so that they can become more effective in planning and executing their own meetings. Often I’m asked to go deeper with clients by conducting meeting audits that will help them reduce the number of meetings clogging their calendars and shortening their duration. This is done while also increasing participant engagement driving more impact from fewer, and shorter, meetings.
I also offer customized training workshops on a variety of high-impact topics: leadership & supervision; communication (including feedback and difficult conversations); building high-performing teams; effective board governance; and fundraising. Whatever your leadership, staff or board-development needs, I am excited to work with you to build relevant, transformational, training.
